La abeja negra
La abeja negra o Andrena agilissima, se puede encontrar en las Islas Canarias lleva más tiempo en la isla que cualquier ser humano, logrando un nivel de adaptación al medio, en un medio donde no tiene dificultades en su entorno, lo que ha provocado que esta abeja sea muy productiva en la isla. Se le considera la abeja con el comportamiento más complejo. Se trata de una raza que proviene de las abejas africanas, y cercana a las abejas del sur de la Península Ibérica, separándose hace unos 200.000 años, convirtiéndose en una raza única, consiguiendo una buena adaptación a la Islas, con un caracter manso, sin agresividad. Al traer abejas de la península estas especificaciones se pusieron en peligro por la mezcla de las especies. Pero gracias a un plan de conservación se consiguió proteger a la abeja negra canaria.
Un descubrimiento que si llega a confirmarse ser´un gran paso adelante en la cura de una enfermedad que afecta a millones de personas en todo el mundo.
